WAY TO GO, TEAM!

We did it. You did it.

I wanted to send an update and thank you all for your support and bringing it the last couple weeks! We've hit over $38,000 and are excited to be able to say that we'll have 100+ drummers using our DrēmTrigger this year!

For now, we're going to take a little breather (a day or two) as we wait for Kickstarter to give us some of the next instructions for you all. We will post an update with some specific next steps, including fulfillment.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me!

IT HAD TO BE

...right after my eyelids closed that we'd hit our goal and surpass it by almost $1000. Looking at the stats, it appears that three triggers came through right at the same time, putting us over the line and into 100%-world.

Thank you for your pledges as we are excited this is what we'll need to get to the next step as a company in order to get DrēmTrigger in the hands of not only you, but more drummers all over the world (eventually).

What's next?

As stated in our previous update, we will be immediately moving onto finish things out. We already have our engineers and developers ready to begin the finishing touches on the trigger mechanics to get sensitivity optimized and our display fully designed and mapped out.

What can you expect from us?

We are now responsible to all of our backers to ensuring we are communicating frequently with good, quality updates. It is important that you are hearing even the boring weeks where we may have only gotten a couple things done, so you know where we're at with the progress of shipping!

We will also be collecting, organizing and communicating to our backers after the campaign (at some point) with a confirmation of what they ordered (we'll give more info on this later!).

Expect videos, images, blog posts, emails and posts to come out and I give you permission to email, call, text, message us, if you have questions!

STRETCH GOAL?

We've still got some days left in our campaign and will take everything we can get! Remember, you benefit from us getting more pledges! We could unlock some stretch goals if we hit $40,000 - so lets hear it from you! What sorts of things would you like to see as stretch goals?!

Thank you again everyone!

Next Steps

With just days until we close our campaign, things are looking up as we continue to receive more pledges every day. We wanted to give a high-level overview of what our team will be doing starting immediately after the campaign ends, so that we can get DrēmTrigger out to all of our backers, quickly. However, our goal is not to be "quick" but to be reliable. This means that our projected timeline is simply that, a projected timeline. We will take extra time on a task, if needed, to ensure that what we deliver, meets our standards. If we can pass through these goals faster, then we can ship sooner.

DAY 1-30

  • We've already gotten our pre-production unit through it's initial round of testing and after the campaign, we'll be wrapping up minor tweaks and implementing the logic structure for the OLED display. The design of the display has already been "done" from a UX standpoint, it just needs to be programmed now (super simple task).
  • With a near complete unit, our software developers can now continue their work to LAUNCH and be able to test the software live with the device by their side.
  • We will also be presenting our plans to investors to receive large capital investments so that DrēmTrigger and our product line can be fully funded with no gaps in development activity.

DAY 31-90

  • We will look to ship all t-shirts reward levels to backers.
  • At this point, our goal is to have a finished DrēmTrigger from hardware to firmware, and a working minimal viable product for software and can then have a second round of end-user testing to make sure it hits all of our expectations and goals (#itwill).
  • We also look to be obtaining packaging samples and running some assembly/ship exercises to ensure we have our kinks out when it comes to fulfillment.
  • Systems will be dialed in to ensure we are tracking our customers, orders, serial numbers, and payment information so that the infrastructure of our business is strong and well thought-out.
  • There will also be opportunity for us to spend time in a testing lab, where weighted balls, salty fog, dust/particles, and electromagnetic signals will push DrēmTrigger to it's limit. Here we will want to know exactly what breaks, when. It will be a determiner for us when it comes to warranties, care and use and overall life-expectancy of a DrēmTrigger. The last bit (EMC) testing, will then allow us to ship overseas to Europe and Australia without any concerns of governmental intervention.

DAY 91-120

  • Over the years, we've had the pleasure to meet and become close with a handful of drummers that we feel, as a collective, would accurately support the vast majority of drummers around the world. These particular drummers are professionals who play in arena's and have crazy technical requirements, to professional drummers who perform in smaller venues, drive themselves, setup their own gear, and even everyday drummers, people (like me) who have a job and play on nights and weekends here and there and don't have the luxury of spending too much time programming/setting up/dialing in their gear.
  • The goal is to have units to this array of drummers to have serious scrutiny and testing done at all levels, and for us to receive feedback and make adjustments as needed.
  • AuxTriggers with universal fit for toms and kick will begin development cycle

DAY 150+/-

  • We want to ship and get units out as fast as possible to our Kickstarter backers. We have retailers begging for our units, but have made the decision to allow our backers to have first crack at these units.
  • Continue the development of AuxTriggers with universal fit for toms and kick.

If there are any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
